Below are some of the conditions Lior treats. Some of the conditions can be managed medically or as office procedures, while other treatments and operations are performed in theatre under anesthesia (local or general anesthesia). 
Hysteroscopic procedures and some of the Laparoscopic surgeries are done as day procedures (which means that the patient can go home on the same day of procedure) while in the more complex surgical cases, an overnight stay may be required. 

Conditions

  • Endometriosis including complex surgical cases  (AKA 'Deep infiltrating Endometriosis'/'Severe Endometriosis') which sometimes involves non-gynaecological organs such as bowel or bladder.

  • Adenomyosis.

  • Chronic pelvic pain.

  • Pelvic Inflmmatory Diseases

  • Ovarian Cysts including complex cases. 

  • Abnormal Uterine Bleeding / Heavy Menstrual bleeding.

  • Post-Menopausal Bleeding.

  • Post-Menopausal symptoms (Hot flashes, Vaginal dryness, mood changes)

  • Infertility: initial workup and treatment, Infertility related to Endometriosis, uterine fibroids, adhesions or other anatomical disfunctions of the uterus or pelvic organs. 

  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

  • Uterine Fibroids causing Heavy Menstrual Bleeding, pain or Infertility. 

  • Cervical incompetence resulting in late abortions or early labours.

  • Abnormal Cervical screening tests / Pap smears.

  • Uterine polyps and Fibroids.

  • Uterine malformations.

  • Contraception consultation.

  • Miscarriages. (Including investigations for recurent Miscarriages).

Treatments

  • Medical and surgical management of Endometriosis including surgeries for Deep Infiltrative/ severe Endometriosis. When indicated, Some of the complex surgeries are done together with a multidisciplinary team, 

        such as a Colorectal surgeon.

  • Laparoscopic Hysterectomies  (Removal of the Uterus by keyhole surgery). Including complex cases such as large Uteri or adhesions. 

  • Laparoscopic Myomectomies (Resection of uterine Fibroids).

  • Open surgeries (Laparotomies) if indicated or when Laparoscopic surgery is not possible. 

  • Diagnostic and Operative Hysteroscopies for the diagnosis and treatment of various intra uterine conditions such as Polyps and Fibroids, Treatment of Asherman's intra uterine adhesions, treatment of uterine malformations. 

  • Endometrial Ablations for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleding. 

  • Cervical Cerclage application (McDonald Cerclage / Laparoscopic abdominal Cerclage as per the clinical indication) 

  • Colposcopy for the diagnosis of uterine cervical abnormalities.

  • LLETZ  and Cone Biopsies for the treatment of abnormal Uterine cervical conditions ('pre-cancer'). 

  • Dilation and Curretage/Evacuation for the treatment of Miscarriages.

  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Infertility/ Subfertility conditions including surgical treatment for infertility when needed, and basic ovulation inductions. If IVF or assisted reproductive technology is required, Lior will refer you to one of his trusted infertility specialist colleagues.
